By leveraging the natural ability of hibernating mammals to sustain life at near freezing temperature by slowing down their metabolism (stasis), Auril aims at creating Cell-based biosenors (CBS) with extended shelf life, compatible with current supply chains. CBS is an extraordinary technology allowing the detection of molecules that are traditionally hard or expensive to identify : drugs, explosives, biomarkers for diseases or pests. The main limitation of CBS is the very limited shelf life of the cells living in the sensor chip, which limits it to location near biotech manufacturing centers. With its advanced cell lines, Auril's vision is to power cell-based biosensing  technologies for anyone, anywhere in the world.
