Cell-based biosensing

Mammalian cell lines have the ability to express a broad selection of receptors. Instructions are provided as DNA bits; energy and materials as  serum-free culture medium. 

 

Interactions between receptors and their ligands are amplified into a measurable signal (fluorescence or voltage) directly inside the cells.
